PURPOSE:To provide a method for easily inspecting and confirming whether or not correction is accurately performed in the case of correcting a photoengraving film based on the instruction of proofreading in a correction stage in photoengraving. CONSTITUTION:The image of a plate A before correction is photographed by a video pickup device and stored in a video memory. The image of a plate B obtained by correcting the plate A based on the instruction of proofreading is similarly picked up and stored in the video memory. By superposing and displaying the image data of the respective plates on a display in respective different hues(red and green), a superposed area is displayed in yellow, an area where only the plate A appears is displayed in red and an area where only the plate B appears is displayed in green. By comparing the superposed display condition with the content of the instruction of proofreading, the accurate plate inspection is realized and the omission of correction or erroneous correction is found out in advance. |
