<p>PURPOSE: To provide a golf ball with a dimple-free equatorial line, which is designed symmetrically on geometry as well as pneumatology, and with im proved flying symmetry. CONSTITUTION: Two hemispheres of a golf ball are connected to each other by a dimple-flee equatorial line E-E. On each side of the equatorial line there are six identical dimpled sections. Each dimpled section comprises (A) six dimples 1, 2 lying along a line parallel with but spaced from the equatorial line, (B) a common pole dimple P of each dimpled section and (C) twenty-nine dimples between the common pole dimple and the six dimples. The outer dimples of each dimpled section lie on a modified sinusoidal line.</p> |
