PURPOSE:To select any desired character string and to utilize this character string at the information managing device provided with a character string selecting function even when an editing picture is not displayed. CONSTITUTION:Code information corresponding to the character string displayed on the display screen of an LCD 16 is stored in a code information storage buffer 13a of a RAM 13 independently of the editing operation of the character string and when the desired character string is designated on the display screen through a pressure sensitive tablet 14, character string selection information composed of the position of that character string and the number of characters or the like is stored in a character string selection information storage buffer 13b. By referring to these code information storage buffer 13a and character string selection information storage buffer 13b, the designated character string is specified on the screen regardless of the editing operation of the character string. |
