PURPOSE:To obtain a water-resistant decorative laminate having a superior water resistance and never generating a warpage or a geometric distorsion even in the application to kitchen fitments and the like by a method wherein a wood plate material, such as a plywood or a hardboard, or a foamed synthetic resin plate material is used as a core, and the full surface of the core is coated with a water-resistant synthetic resin layer. CONSTITUTION:A wood plate material, such as a plywood or a hardboard, or a foamed synthetic resin plate material is used as a core 1. The full surface of the core 1 is coated with a water-resistant synthetic resin layer 2. In this manner, a water-resistant decorative laminate is formed. Recessed and projected fitting means 3, 4 are integrally molded out of the water-resistant synthetic resin at the butt ends of the water-resistant decorative laminate. In the production of the water-resistant decorative laminate, firstly a core 10 and a spacer 20 is set in a cavity S1 surrounded by an upper mold A, a lower mold B, and a packing C, the resin is casted under vacuum suction, the upper mold A is opened once after the casted resin, i.e., the water-resistant synthetic resin, is cured, the spacer 20 is removed, and the same resin is casted into a space of the removed spacer 20 so as to cover the full surface of the core 10. |
