Photographic material containing UV absorber

A photographic material is described which comprises, on a base, blue-sensitive, green-sensitive and/or red-sensitive silver-halide emulsion layers and if desired a protection layer, a layer containing a UV absorber being arranged between the uppermost silver-halide emulsion layer and the protection layer or on top of the uppermost silver-halide emulsion layer, wherein the UV absorber conforms to the formula (I) in which the radical R1 is alkyl, substituted alkyl, alkenyl, glycidyl, cycloalkyl or phenylalkyl, and R12 is alkyl, benzyl, cyclohexyl, phenyl, substituted phenyl or alkoxy.
