Vehicle immobiliser system consists of ignition control computer (1) of motor (40). Computer (1) has store (3) containing starting information for the vehicle. Bus (4) connects processor (2) to input reader (5) reading chip card (30). Bus (6) connects to computer input circuit (10). Input circuit (10) contans comparator (12) and data decryption unit (13) using pseudo-random number sequences. Initial conditions are set by unit (16) under computer control.
