PURPOSE:To improve the operability and the picture quality by retrieving plural document data stored in an image memory and connecting them from sides where the amount of data showing features is large into one image. CONSTITUTION:Images which are divisionally read out of a CCD sensor 6 are stored as document data in an image memory 43. When a connection mode is specified, the document data are sent to a connection processing part 48. The data inputted to the processing part 48 are retrieved at a connection recognition part 44, which recognizes connections of the document. After a data rearrangement part 45 rearranges the data so that the connections face each other, a positioning part 46 positions the data so that images at the connections match each other and then a composing process part 47 puts them together. The document data after the processing by the processing part 48 are inputted to the memory 43 again. Consequently, plural images can accurately be connected to improve the operability and also improve the picture quality. |
