METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF LITHOGRAPHIC PLATE BY SILVER SALT DIFFUSION TRANSFER METHOD

PURPOSE: To extend the life of rinse water ecologically and economically and easily by adding a specified alkali to the rinse water before rinsing the exposed and developed image forming material or within a specified time of using water. CONSTITUTION: The alkali is added to control a pH in 10.5-13 before rinsing the exposed and developed film-forming material before using at most <=20m<3> and/or before using water for 24 hours. When the rinse water is not restored up to 10.5 in pH quickly enough, reuse of the rinse water is regulated because of occurrence of offensive odor. It is preferable that the alkali is added before rinsing 10m<2> of the developed material in order to keep it in the range limits and to control it in a pH of 11.3-12. The alkali compound to be used is sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide and the life of the rinse water is extended by further adding the alkali to keep it to 10.5-13, preferably, 11.3-12.
