A simple arrangement in newspaper printing presses for locating the joint in a flow of newspapers (16) in flying paste jointing of two paper webs. The end portion of the web which is to be jointed to the next web has a metal foil which is sensed along the paper flow path by an inductive switch (19), actuating a means (18, 17) for diverting an adjustable number of newspapers in the paper flow area surrounding the metal foil, thus removing the newspapers damaged by the joint. <IMAGE> |
