PURPOSE:To transmit light forth and back freely between both top and reverse surfaces of a substrate by forminga light guide continuously from the top surface of the substrate to the reverse surface, and then forming a slanting surface which reflects light propagated in the light guide at a part corresponding to the ridges of the top and reverse surfaces and an end surface. CONSTITUTION:A proper material is diffused to form light guides 11-14 on the top surface 10 of the substrate 1. The ridge of the top surface 10 and end surface 30 of the substrate 11 is cut at an angle of 45 deg. to form a slanting surface 35. Similarly, a slanting surface 36 is formed at the ridge part of the end surface 30 and reverse surface 20. Those slanting surfaces 35 and 35 are total reflecting surfaces. Light propagated in the light guide 12 is reflected totally by the slanting surface 35 to travel to the light guide 31 and further reflected totally by the slanting surface 36 to travel to the light guide 21. |
