<p>Soil or other material containing organic contaminants is remediated by intimately mixing the material with an actively-growing fungal biomass generating free radicals. Effective remediation is achieved by homogeneous mixing of contaminated soil, with, say, Phanerochaete organisms growing on a lignocellulosic substrate, rather than by inoculation.</p> |
