In order to achieve a direct correspondence between an input force of an operator on a steering valve and a working pressure in the actuator, a steering valve with a sealed centre and intended for supplying an actuator with hydraulic pressure, which valve comprises an input shaft 11, an output shaft 12, a torsion rod 17, which is connected by one end to the input shaft 11 and by the other end to the output shaft 12, and a valve sleeve 18 surrounding the input shaft 11, is further developed to such an extent that the valve sleeve 18 is connected to the output shaft 12 in a manner such that it can be rotated, counter to a restoring force, around a basic position in an angular region in both directions, relative to the output shaft 12 around the common axis, and that an actuating element 20 is arranged on the steering valve 1, which actuating element exerts a torque on the valve sleeve 18, which torque acts in the same direction in order to rotate the input shaft and is in a proportional ratio to the pressure acting in the actuator. <IMAGE>
