Multiway adaptor plug for telephone plug sockets

The multiway adaptor plug for telephone plug sockets has an elongated housing. A plug part is arranged on the underneath, essentially parallel to one longitudinal edge of the housing and immediately alongside this housing. When the multiway adaptor plug is plugged into an outer one of a plurality of sockets (12, 14) in a telephone plug socket (10), this edge is thus located between the outer socket and the socket (14) which is adjacent thereto, so that the latter and the further sockets (12, 14) remain freely accessible. Three sockets (26, 28, 30) are provided on the top of the multiway adaptor plug (18). They are located with their longitudinal extent at an angle inclined at approximately 35 DEG to 45 DEG with respect to the longitudinal edges of the housing. Their lower end at the same time points obliquely downwards away from the longitudinal edge adjacent to the plug part. The oblique position of the sockets (26, 28, 30) is favourable in terms of the width of the housing and the position of the cables of connecting plugs which are inserted into the sockets. <IMAGE>
