Provided are enamel compositions and water-borne enamel compositions comprising phenol functionalized vinyl polymers and crosslinking agents such as amino-plasts, e.g., alkylated melamine-formaldehyde condensates. The coatings produced from such compositions possess excellent acid-etch resistance, solvent resistance, hardness, and gloss. The compositions of the present invention are thus particularly useful for automotive, appliance and machinery coatings. |
