Document shredder of the type which shreds a document by dividing it into thin strips and which comprises drive means (9, 15, 16, 18, 19) which drive two counter-rotating dividing members (8). The counter-rotating driving members are provided with blades (11) and the document shredder is also provided with means which grip the document before the division commences and means which alter the direction of movement of the document during its passage through the document shredder. |
