Spiral cover for an endless conveyor band, in which a multiplicity of spiral elements (10, 10') extending transversely relative to the running direction A of the conveyor band and, as seen in a top view, in a zigzag-shaped manner are connected to one another by means of bars guided through the orifice of each spiral element (10, 10') transversely relative to the running direction A, a chain being attached on each of the two sides of the spiral cover, chain wheels which serve for driving the conveyor band being capable of being brought into engagement with the chain, the spiral element (10, 10'), as seen from the side, having a contour of a rectangle lying on the longer side and with semicircular ends, a round lug (11) for guiding through a bar being attached at one end, and there being arranged at the other end a long hole (12) which extends parallel to the longer side of the rectangle and through which, in each case, an adjacent bar is guided in alternation with a round lug (11) of an adjacent spiral element (10, 10'). <IMAGE>
