In a sanitary single-lever mixing valve, the linear displacement of a movable control disc (7), which can execute a combined rotary and linear motion on a fixed control disc (4) arranged in the housing (1), is influenced by an elastic latching device. This acts in the region of two interacting guide surfaces (15, 16), of which one (15) is formed on a part (14) guided rotatably in the housing (1) and the other (16) is formed on the movable control disc (7). A first recess (39, 40) is formed in a first (16) of these guide surfaces (15, 16). A second recess (31, 32) is provided in the second (15) of these guide surfaces (15, 16), has a virtually circular cross-section, is intersected by the guide surface (15) and contains a spring element (37, 38). The latter is designed as a hollow shaped body which is not completely closed, tends to expand elastically within the recess (31, 32) and therefore always projects as far as possible beyond the associated guide surface (15). However, the spring element (37, 38) can be forced back completely into the accommodating recess (31, 32), a process involving elastic compression (Figure 1).

|
