The subject of the present invention is a mechanism for adjusting the position of an external rear-view mirror, essentially consisting of a base (1) for fastening in the rear-view mirror casing and of a support element (2) mounted so that it can pivot on the base (1). Mechanism, characterised in that the mobile support element (2) is guided on the base (1) without possibility of rotation and is held on the latter by an independent connecting means (3), the said mobile element (2) being blocked in the working position, after adjustment, by friction against the connecting means (3) and being unblocked for adjustment by detachment from these connecting means (3). <IMAGE> |
