<p>An intraoral composition containing at least one arylpropionate nonsteroidal antiphlogistic, which is improved in oral mucosa penetration and reduced in oral irritation by incorporating at least one of polyethylene glycol and isoprene glycol or 1-30 wt.%, based on the whole composition, of hexylene glycol. An intraoral composition that can exhibit an excellent effect of treating and preventing periodontal diseases such as gingivitis or periodontitis for long and that can incorporate stably the arylpropionate nonsteroidal antiphlogistic even after the lapse of time even when filled in a container lined with a synthetic resin is provided either by incorporating the arylpropionate nonsteroidal antiphlogistic in the presence of both a polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene copolymer surfactant and L-menthol or in the presence of both a nonionic surfactant and at least one member selected from the group consisting of fatty acid esters of propylene glycol, glycerol and higher alcohols, or by incorporating 0.01-20 parts by weight of at least one member selected from the group consisting of terpene hydrocarbons, phenolic compounds and derivatives thereof, and halogenated diphenyl ethers per part by weight of the arylpropionate nonsteroidal antiphlogistic.</p> |
