PROCESS FOR THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL OF A PEOPLE CONVEYOR

A process for the electronic control of people conveyors in which the drive of the people conveyor is switched on and set to a predetermined stand-by speed via at least one frequency converter which is maintained until a monitoring device detects the conveyance of people and sets the people conveyor to a predetermined transport speed via the frequency converter and, on reaching the transport speed or on exceeding a predetermined load or number of people, switches the drive over to mains operation.
