Short-pulse multigas laser

The short-pulse multigas laser having the discharge chamber (1) in which the electrodes (3), (6) are connected, the preionisation sheet (5), the cathode plate (12), the insulator (2), the fastening plates (10) and the fan (9) is constructed according to the "pot circuit" scheme with low-inductive discharge contour. The thyratron (11) and the capacitors (Cn and Cp) are arranged quite close to the electrodes. The use of a divided discharge scheme of the capacitors and a low-inductive discharge contour of the "pot circuit" type allows fast discharge between the electrodes and a short laser pulse. <IMAGE>
