Reinforcing members (3, 4) are embedded in a strip (2) of flexible material and spaced apart evenly along the strip (2). An internal face (28) of the strip (2) has projections (29, 30) located in pairs and formed from respective projecting portions of the reinforcing members (3, 4), the tops of the projections extending parallel to the strip. The projections (29, 30) comprise an elongate part which is inclined with respect to the longitudinal direction of the strip (2) so that adjacent pairs of projections (29, 30) have a longitudinal overlap (C). Part of the top (19, 20) of some projections (29, 30) has a convex curved profile in the transverse direction of the strip (2). Use in particular for tracked civil engineering work vehicles. <IMAGE>
