A worm screw is rotatably lodged in a container and includes, at each of its ends, a shaft supported in a respective bearing (such as 5). Such a bearing includes a body (27) mounted on the container wall and a rolling bearing (31). A cylindrical space (41) is provided between the screw's shaft and the bearing body. The space extends from the shaft's point of entry in the bearing body to the resilient seal joint (32) inserted between the bearing body and the shaft, upstream of the rolling bearing. The bearing includes means (39, 40) for injecting compressed air into the cylindrical space. |
