POLYMER FUEL CELL

A fuel cell has current conductors, solid polymer electrolytes shaped as membranes, gas distributing rings and current distributors. All these components are made of a solvent-soluble thermoplastic base polymer. This base polymer is modified in each individual component, so that the current conductors (1) are electroconductive, the membranes (4) are ion conductive, the current distributors (3) are gas-permeable and electroconductive and the gas distributing rings (2) are made of non-modified and/or electroconductive base polymer. The components are assembled without seals by a joining process.
