METHOD OF DETERMINING POTASSIUM IONS

A method of determining potassium ions contained in a sample by conducting an enzymatic reaction using a pyruvate kinase in an aqueous medium, wherein the enzymatic reaction is conducted in the presence of 80-280 mM lithium ions. This method enables potassium ions to be readily and rapidly determined with good accuracy and reproducibility.
