PURPOSE:To make it possible to ensure the attachment of an axle supporting arm in which a metallic connecting member is attached to one end of a metallic rod body, by forming a recess in the outer periphery of solid section of the connecting member which is adapted to be inserted in a cylindrical part in one end section of a rod body, and by squeezing the cylindrical part. CONSTITUTION:An automobile stabilizer as an axle supporting rod is provided with a steel stabilizer body 1 made of steel and bent in a predetermined shape, the stabilizer consisting of a torsion section and a pair of right and left arm sections 3 connected to both sides of the torsion section 2. The free end part of each arm section 3 is opened to form a cylindrical part 3a fitted on a connecting member 5. In order to fit the connecting member 5, the outer periphery of solid part of the member 5 adapted to be inserted into the cylindrical part 3a is formed therein with a plurality of circumferential grooves 12 and axial grooves 13, then the solid part 7a is inserted into the cylindrical part 3a after application of a sealing material in either one of the grooves 12, and the cylindrical part 3a is radially squeezed from the outside thereof to aim at integrally incorporating both members 2, 5 with each other. |
