PURPOSE:To facilitate confirmation of the direction of the texture of a base cloth and to facilitate confirmation of an assembly direction during sewing by weaving color threads at intervals of a proper distance in the one of the warp and the weft of the base cloth of an air bag body. CONSTITUTION:An air bag body 11 of an air bag device comprises a member 12 on the front side brought into contact with the passenger side and a member 13 on the rear side where an air injection nozzle 14 is formed. Base cloth 11a composing the air bag body 11 is formed by weaving wefts 21 and warps 22. In this case, a plurality of color threads 25 in a color different from that of the weft 21 are woven at intervals of a proper distance in the one, for example, the weft 21, of the weft 21 and the warp 22. The member 12 on the front side is used in a bias state where the color threads 25 of the base cloth 11a are inclined at 45 deg., and the member 13 on the rear side is used in a state, where the color threads 25 of the base cloth 11a are inclined 45 deg. based on the member 12 on the front side, i.e., a vertical state. |
