A device for preventing unauthorised access to the ignition switch and steering lock commonly incorporated in the steering column of motor vehicles comprises two box-like casing components 10 and 12 which cover the steering column cowling and are hinged or otherwise linked together to allow easy installation over the steering column of a vehicle.
