<p>PURPOSE:To surely fix the complete denture to the alveolar ridge of the tongue part by providing the wall parts extending from the bimylohyoideus lines in the oral cavity to the lower bottom of the oral cavity on both inner sides on the back tooth side of the dental plate and forming a pair of engaging projection parts which can be respectively engaged with both recessed part on the tongue side of the mylohyoideus lines in these wall parts. CONSTITUTION:Both detaining parts 6, 6 of the complete denture 1 descend and come into contact with the mylohyoideus line B parts on both sides when the full denture 1 is inserted into the oral cavity and the lower alveolar ridge A is pressed. Both detaining parts 6, 6 are so formed as to engage with the recessed part C, C lower than the mylohyoideus line B parts on both sides and, therefore, when the complete denture 1 is further pushed down, both detaining parts 6, 6 are pressed toward the inner side at the time of the passing through the mylohyoideus line B, B parts. Since the respective wall parts 5 are formed of a synthetic resin having elasticity, the parts are curved once toward the inner side. The wall parts 5 restore the original state upon passage of the detaining parts 6 through these parts and the detaining parts 6 fit into the recessed part C and the lower ends of the two wall parts 5 come into contact with the bottom D of the oral cavity. The complete denture 1 is, therefore, surely fixed to the lower alveolar ridge A via the detaining parts 6, 6 on both sides.</p> |
