PURPOSE:To provide a control method and controller for image forming process conditions, capable of executing quick and high precision control. CONSTITUTION:In the first control process of a bright part potential VL on a photosensitive drum 1, the setting vague of an exposing lamp voltage VLP is adjusted every volt within 200+ or -20V range where the result of the detection of the bright part VL is widely set and in the next control process, the setting value of the exposing lamp voltage VLP is set every 0.5 volt within 200+ or -10V range where the result of the detection of the bright part VL is narrowly set. Moreover, in the first control process of a dark part potential VD, the setting value of an electrifying grid voltage VG is adjusted every 30 volts within 800+ or -20V range where the result of the detection of the dark part potential VD is widely set and in the next control process, the setting value of the electrifying grid voltage VG is adjusted every 15 volts within 800+ or -10V range where the result of the detection of the dark part potential VD is narrowly set. At this time, VL/VLP = 30 and VD/VG = 1 are set. |
