PURPOSE:To make parts common so as to reduce the manufacturing cost of a plasma display device by disposing LSI chips in such a way that one of them is exposed and the other covered, and exposing both input portions, and connecting each input portion electrically to a control panel. CONSTITUTION:A control panel 12A is disposed at the center of the back of a panel main body and outputs display data. Each of LSI chips M1-M5 outputs from an output terminal 52 the display data sent thereto from a first input portion 54, to which display data signals are transferred, and from a plurality of LSI chips. A second input portion 56 to which inputs are applied in place of the input portion 54 is provided on the back of the panel main body and the input portions 54, 56 are electrically connected to one of the chips M1-M5. A driving circuit substrate 40-1 is disposed on that of the two opposite sides of the panel main body where one of the LSI chip and the input portions 54, 56 are exposed, and the other LSI chip is covered and the input portion 56 is connected to the panel 12A. Then parts are made common whereby the manufacturing cost is reduced. |
