PURPOSE:To provide a plotting processor capable of reducing the cost and obtaining a high plotting speed. CONSTITUTION:By using a video RAM provided with a random access memory(RAM) part and serial access memory(SAM) part as an image memory 18, the display data becoming a base picture among the display data stored in the RAM part are read out from the RAM part directly by a RAM data read circuit 19, and on the other hand, after the display data of an image picture to be superposed on the base picture are transferred to the SAM part, are read out by a SAM data read circuit 21. Any effective one of both read data are detected at every pixel by a display detection circuit 28, and any one side read data are selected based on the detected output by a selector circuit 29 to be supplied to a video monitor 32 and to be displayed on the display screen. |
