<p>PURPOSE:To provide an image forming method, by which excellent line reproducibility and high image quality can be obtained under high Vpp/high frequency developing conditions. CONSTITUTION:In the developing device, the average center line roughness of the developer carrier is <=1.0mum and the A.C. voltage applied on the developer carrier (Vpp) is >=1500 V and the frequency is >=2100 Hz and also the absolute value of the difference (Vcont.) between the D.C. voltage (Vdc) and the electrostatic potential of the electrostatic latent image carrier (Vd) is <=250 V. The developer, which contains at least a resin binder and a colorant and features that the chromatogram of the resin binder measured with GPC has at least one maximum in each of the two regions of 2,000 to 30,000 molecular weight and 800,000 to 3,000,000 molecular weight, is used for the developing device.</p> |
