PURPOSE:To exchange only an ink tank easily without taking out the whole ink jet cartridge from scanning carriages and without exerting unnatural scooping force on an ink jet head. CONSTITUTION:In an ink jet cartridge 1, an ink tank 4 communicates with an ink jet head 2 detachably through a joint section 3. The ink jet cartridge 1 is mounted on scanning carriages 5. In an ink jet head recording device, printing is performed by the ink jet cartridge by moving the scanning carriages 5. Each scanning carriage 5 is equipped with a head holding part 6 and a tank holding part 7. At the ink jet head 2, sections 8 to be held fixedly by the head holding parts 6 are provided detachably. On the other hand, the ink tank 4 is equipped with sections 9 to be held fixedly and detachably by the tank holding parts 7. |
