PURPOSE:To provide a method for manufacturing a weather strip and an extrusion molding machine thereof in which a thick end part exists in the same shape at any position and a function of a lip part can be sufficiently performed. CONSTITUTION:A molding machine 5 has a main die plate 6 having an opening 10, a movable orifice plate 8, etc. The plate 8 has a cutout part 11 or a pedestal plate 12 for forming a thick end part. A roller cutter 9 is provided on an upper surface of the plate 12. When unvulcanized EPDM is extruded from a rear side of the machine 5 forward, a schematic shape is formed by the opening 10, and the lip part is extruded to a maximum width or more. The thick end part is formed in shape by the plate 8, etc. When the plate 8 and the cutter 9 are integrally inwardly moved, the position of the thick end part is inwardly varied to alter a cut position of the end of the lip part. As the width of the lip part is reduced, the position of the thick end part is altered, an hence the shape of the thick end part is not altered. |
