<p>PURPOSE:To uniformize the dispersion of the additives in the kneaded material at the time of producing toner without using a large sized and/or elabotated device and to provide a toner having good fixing characteristics by specifying the average filling ratio of the kneading zone in the knender with the molten and kneaded material in the kneading process and the range of variation of the filling ratio. CONSTITUTION:The toner for developing electrostatic charge image is produced by mixing, melting and kneading, pulverizing and classifying the toner composition consisting of at least a resin, a colorant and a releasing agent. In this production of the toner, the average filling ratio of the kneading zone in the kneader with the kneaded material in the kneading process and the range of variation of the filling ratio are controlled so as to be in the range of 240 to 400kg/m<3> and <=+ or -10% respectively, wherein the extent of the amount of the kneaded material existing in the kneader, expressed as weight of kneaded material per unit volume, is referred to as filling ratio.</p> |
