PURPOSE:To reduce the rate of water absorption of a tile and to improve the frost damage resistance and impact strength by extrusion-molding a slurry obtd. by blending a specified cement-silica sand-clay blend with specified amts. of an extruding aid and disintegrated broadleaf tree pulp. CONSTITUTION:0.5-1.0 pt.wt. extruding aid and 1.0-5.0 pts.wt. disinte-grated broadleaf tree pulp are added to 100 pts.wt. cement-silica sand-clay blend consisting essentially of 48wt.% cement, 42wt.% silica sand and 10wt.% clay and then a required amt. of water is added to form a slurry. This slurry is extrusion-molded and press-molded. |
