PURPOSE:To obtain an FRP product of high strength with no air-bubble left in, by laying a preform comprising a reinforcing fiber in an impregnating tub and charging a resin into the impregnating tub under negative pressure and pressing it. CONSTITUTION:A preform 1 comprising an aggregate of a reinforcing fiber is laid in an impregnating tub 2 and thereafter a lid section 2b is closed and a clamp fiber 3 is fastened. An open-close valve 7 is opened to evacuate the air inside the impregnating tub 2, so that the pressure inside is reduced. After the pressure reduction, the open-close valve 7 is closed, and then an open-close valve 10 is opened and a pump 11 is operated to send a resin in a tank 12 to the impregnating tub 2 under a pressure of about 50kg/cm<2>. In this way, the resin can be impregnated without leaving any air-bubble in the fiber. The resin-impregnated preform 1 is taken out of the impregnating tub 2, put into a molding die, clamped under a low pressure and cured to mold a required shaped product. |
