PURPOSE:To decrease the spaces between respective display regions and to improve display quality in the case of constitution of a large screen by devising the arrangement of X- and Y-direction electrodes and their terminal arrangement and combining plural display screens to improve the planar display device. CONSTITUTION:The planar display device including the display screen 11, the X-direction electrodes 12 and the Y-direction electrodes 13 is provided with X-direction terminals 12A for drawing out the X-direction electrodes 12 in an upper or lower one side region on the basis of a display screen region and is provided with the Y-direction terminals 13A for drawing out the Y-direction electrodes 13 in a left part or right part one side region on the basis of the display screen region. The planar display devices are constituted by combining these devices. The planar display devices are provided with a spacing alpha for one character of the display characters formed of the X-direction electrodes 12 and the Y-direction electrodes 13 between the regions where the display screens 11 are installed when two of these devices are combined and four are combined. |
