PURPOSE:To simplify cleaning by preventing toner from sticking to an image nonformation part on an image carrier. CONSTITUTION:The device is structured so that when a developing roller 52 faces the image nonformation part on the surface of the photosensitive drum 1, a bias having an opposite polarity of toner charges and a voltage of the same level as surface potential is applied to the developing roller 52. In this structure, such an electric field that all toner in liquid developer are moved towards the developing roller 52 is generated in a development part A. The toner is all attracted to the developing roller 52 by the electric field, therefore, although liquid carrier stick to the image nonformation part on the surface of the photosensitive drum 1, the toner does not stick there at all. |
