PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of heat leak from the outside of a current lead using an oxide superconductor and heat generation value by adding Peltier cooling element to the high-temperature edge side of an oxide superconducting current lead. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting coil 2 and an oxide superconducting current lead 3 are cooled by liquid helium 1. A copper lead 4 is connected to the edge part of the current lead 3 for connecting it to the power supply part such as a power supply. Current is fed to the superconducting coil 2 via the oxide superconducting current lead 3 from the copper lead 4, thus exciting the superconducting coil 2. In this case, a plurality of P-type Peltier element 5 are added to the outer periphery of the surface of the copper lead at a high- temperature side and the lead 4 can be cooled by operating it, thus reducing the heat leak from the outside, increasing the superconducting state and extremely low-resistance state of the oxide superconducting current lead 3, and suppressing the head generation value to be low. |
