<p>PURPOSE:To provide an image reader which can start under the starting condition stored previously when the system of a device which can select the starting conditions of plural systems is started, can eliminate the need for input of conditions for each system start, and improves the operability by attaining a setting operation to automatically start the specific one of those systems. CONSTITUTION:In a print plate making system, for example, the memory of an image processor 22 of an image reader 16 stores the starting condition set previously by a user via an operating part 26, etc., that is, a fact whether the device 16 is started in a plate making mode or a work station mode. In this example, the condition where the device 16 is started in the work station mode is stored in the memory. When a main switch of a print plate making device 12 is turned on under such condition, the CPU of the processor 22 reads the set starting condition out of the memory based on the sequence of a ROM and shows the start of the work station mode at a display part 28.</p> |
