PURPOSE:To obtain antibacterial fibers excellent in wash resistance, having no skin irritation and made of fibers mainly consisting of keratin and antibacterial metal ions bound to the fibers. CONSTITUTION:Fibers specifically consisting of mohair, cashmere, especially of wool keratin are reducibly pretreated and then subjected to be bound with antibacterial metal ions, preferably silver ions to obtain the objective antibacterial fibers without easily losing antibacterial activity by washing, etc. As the antibacterial fibers have no skin irritation, they are widely used for medical supplies and daily necessaries. |
