PURPOSE:To obtain a covering material which can form a sheath for e.g. an electric wire or cable having high ability to form a crust when burnt and does not form fired drips of a melt. CONSTITUTION:The covering material comprises a resin composition prepared by adding 0.5-5 pts.wt. polytetrafluoroethylene powder to 100 pts.wt. polyvinyl chloride. The resin composition may contain if necessary additives such as a plasticizer, a stabilizer, an inorganic flame retardant and a filler. |
