PURPOSE:To provide a navigation device which can perform the routing processing of the shortest distance according to the presence or absence of the road designating conditions. CONSTITUTION:A navigation device consists of a GPS receiving part 1 which produces the position information based on the signal received from an artificial satellite, a map information recording part 3 which stores the map information, a display part 4 which shows the position information received from the part 1 on a screen together with the map information, an input part 5 which inputs various information, and a control part 2 which performs the entire control of each department. The part 2 also decides the presence of absence of such road designating conditions as 'superhighways', 'avoidance of toll expressways', etc., nased on the read-out map information to perform the normal routing processing with absence of the road designating conditions and to perform the routing processing including the designated road with presence of the road designating conditions respectively. |
