PURPOSE:To enhance stirring and dispersion effectiveness by creating a three- dimensional complicated turbulence of a blend liquid in vertical and horizontal direction in a stirring tank. CONSTITUTION:An endless annular rack fixed to the interior of a fermentation tank 51 as a stirring tank is mounted externally on the axial center and concentric circle of a drive shaft 56. Further, a stirring shaft 17 is axially borne by a gear box fastened to the outer periphery of the drive shaft 56, and a pinion which is engaged with the rack is attached on the stirring shaft 17. If the gear box 16 rotates with the drive shaft 56, the pinion travels on the rack to allow the rotation of the stirring shaft 17 and a stirring blade 21 mounted on the stirring shaft. Consequently, the stirring blade 21 gyrates around the drive shaft 56, stirring a blend in the surrounding of the drive shaft 56 vertically. Thus the complicated turbulence of a blend liquid generates in the stirring tank.
