PURPOSE:To provide a method for manufacturing a weather strip and an extrusion molding machine thereof in which a position of a functional unit can be arbitrarily altered and a function of a lip part can be sufficiently performed. CONSTITUTION:A molding machine 5 has a main die plate 6 having an opening 10, a movable orifice plate 8, etc. The plate 8 has a cutout part 11 or a groove 12 for forming a thick end part or a rib. Roller cutters 9A, 9B are provided at a front side of the plate 8. When unvulcanized EPDM is extruded from a rear side of the machine 5 forward, a schematic shape is formed by the opening 10, and the lip part is extruded to a maximum width or more. The thick end part or the rib is formed in shape by the plate 8, etc. The plate 8 and the cutters 9A, 9B are integrally or relatively moved thereby to vary the position of the thick end part or the rib or to cut the end of the lip part. |
