PURPOSE:To provide a spindle motor which can be assembled easily with no backlash and can rotate smoothly. CONSTITUTION:The spindle motor comprises a shaft 3 born rotatably by the tubular part 2 of a bracket 1, and a holder 5 provided with a rotor magnet 4 and rotatable integrally with the shaft 3. A first tubular body 25 is fitted in the tubular part 2 of the bracket 1, and a second tubular body 26 to be inserted with the shaft 3 is fitted in the first tubular body 25. The first and second tubular bodies 25, 26 are interposed between first and second planar bodies 27, 28. A repellent member 29 urging axially inward is provided at the tip part 3b of the shaft 3 and the first planar body 27, the second tubular body 26, and the second planar body 28 are held between the repellent member 29 and the holder 5. Hydrodynamic thrust bearing parts 35, 36 are formed between the first planar body 27 and the first tubular body 25 and between the second planar body 28 and the first tubular body 25. A hydrodynamic radial bearing part 38 is formed between the first tubular body 25 and the second tubular body 26. |
