<p>PURPOSE:To provide a stable negatively chargeable developer having satisfactory triboelectric chargeability. CONSTITUTION:In a developer based on a resin binder, a colorant and an electric charge controlling agent, perfluoroalkenyl polyvinyl phenyl ether represented by formula I is used as the electric charge controlling agent or a fluorine-contg. quaternary ammonium salt represented by formula II may further be used in combination. The objective negatively chargeable developer for developing an electrostatic charge image is provided. In the formula I, Rf is 6-9C and 11-17F perfluoroalkenyl and (n) is a positive integer. In the formula II, X is -SO2- or -CO-, each of R1-R4 is H, 1-10C lower alkyl or aryl, Y is I or Be and each of (m) and (p) is a positive integer.</p> |
