<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a stable picture image even at high temp. and high humidity by incorporating a specified amt. of specified ethylenevinyl acetate copolymer having specified melt flow rate and containing specified amt. of vinyl acetate into a binder resin essentially consisting of thermoplastic polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:The binder resin essentially consisting of thermoplastic polyester resin contains 5-50wt.% ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having >400g/10min melt flow rate and containing 3-30wt.% vinyl acetate. If the melt flow rate is smaller than 400g/10min, the melt viscosity increases and the resin does not flow enough at low temp. so that low temp. fixing can not be done. If the amt. of vinyl acetate is less than 3wt.%, the toner easily causes aggregation. If the amt. exceeds 30%, the glass transition temp. decreases. If the amt. of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is less than 5wt.%, the effect is not obtd. If it exceeds 50wt.%, the compsn. becomes tough so that it cannot be finely pulverized into a toner.</p> |
